If you’ve been following the photography shootouts I’ve been hosting at Cre8tive Minds Studios, then you already know that I’ve been digging back through my past shoots and reconnecting with some of the models I’ve worked with over the years. The idea is simple: bring back some familiar faces and give photographers the chance to shoot with them in a live shootout environment.
One of the names that immediately came to mind was Adrianna Angel.
Adrianna and I have worked together before, most notably during a shoot we did back in December 2023 at the home of my good friend Morris Griffin. Those photos eventually made their way into Hotties Playhouse Magazine Volume 3.
And yes… before anyone asks… Adrianna gets butt naked in that set. The good stuff lives in the magazine.

When I reached out to Adrianna about the possibility of appearing as the featured model at a future shootout, she was immediately excited about the idea. The only catch was that it had been a little while since we last shot together. The last thing I ever want to do is send photographers promotional photos that are two or three years old and then have the model show up looking completely different than what people were expecting.
So earlier this week, Adrianna came by Cre8tive Minds Studios for about an hour just to grab some updated promotional shots. We shot on Tuesday, and the whole point was simple: get fresh images that accurately show what she looks like right now.
Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just a quick session so photographers could see exactly who they’ll be working with when she eventually steps in front of the cameras at one of my shootouts.
Now, I’ll admit something… I tend to be a little paranoid when it comes to scheduling shoots. Models flake sometimes. It happens. So this meet-up was also a bit of a test run to make sure everything was still good on both sides.
Adrianna passed with flying colors.
She showed up right on time, arriving in an Uber and hauling in a couple of pretty heavy bags that I helped her carry inside. After spending about fifteen or twenty minutes touching up her makeup in front of the studio mirror, she was ready to get started.
Before she arrived, I had already set up a simple scene. We recently built a new gray wall inside the studio, and I hadn’t had a chance to shoot against it yet. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it. The goal was something clean and neutral — nothing distracting, just a solid backdrop that would keep all the attention on the model.
A gray carpet on the floor, the white chaise lounge pulled into position, and we were ready to roll.
Adrianna brought along a leopard print lingerie piece that looked great on camera, so we started there. About half of the shoot was done in that outfit, and the other half… well… Adrianna being Adrianna… she went ahead and ditched the wardrobe altogether.
After all, if she’s going to stand in front of a room full of photographers someday, they might as well know exactly what they’re signing up for.
The whole shoot had a relaxed energy to it. Lots of laughing. Lots of joking around. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so we spent a good amount of time catching up on life and work while we shot.
During our conversation, Adrianna told me she had actually stepped away from modeling and dancing for a while and had officially retired. As life tends to do, though, plans change. She’s back in the game again, and if you ask me, that’s great news for photographers.
Because when Adrianna is in front of the camera, she brings a ton of personality with her.
Once we wrapped up the shoot, I offered to give her a ride home so she wouldn’t have to spend money on another Uber. She happily accepted, and we spent the drive continuing our conversation and talking about the upcoming shootout.
Both of us are excited about it.
Right now we’re aiming for sometime in May, but the exact date isn’t locked down just yet. As soon as I finalize the schedule, it’ll be announced through the Meetup website.
